Step-by-Step Drawing Guide

Step 1: Draw the Large Top Curve of the Cloud

Start near the upper middle of the page with a wide arching curve. This line forms the highest bump of the cloud, and both ends stay open for now.

Pro Tip: Keep the top of the curve rounded so the cloud looks soft.

Step 2: Add the Side Curves of the Cloud

Add a larger rounded curve on the left side to form a soft cloud edge. Add a smaller curve on the right side so the outline begins to look like a rainy cloud.

Pro Tip: The side curves can be different sizes, but their joints should connect smoothly.

Step 3: Close the Bottom of the Cloud

Start at the lower left with a long horizontal bottom line. Let the line stretch across to the right, then curve upward into the cloud edge.

Pro Tip: The bottom line may curve slightly and does not need to be perfectly straight.

Step 4: Draw the Cute Face

Add two round eyes in the middle of the cloud, leaving a small highlight in each one. Draw a short smiling curve below and between the eyes.

Pro Tip: Keep both eyes at the same height so the face looks neat and cute.

Step 5: Add the Raindrops

Draw several teardrop-shaped raindrops below the cloud. Arrange them in two loose rows, with slightly staggered positions for a natural look.

Pro Tip: Make each raindrop pointed at the top and rounded below for a consistent design.

Step 6: Add Small Rain Lines

Add several short slanted lines between the raindrops to show falling rain. Spread these lines in different spots, and keep them from crowding the raindrops.

Pro Tip: Keep the rain lines angled the same way so the drawing looks tidy.

Fun Facts

Rain starts as tiny water droplets inside clouds. When many droplets join together and become heavy, they fall to the ground as rain.

Clouds can look fluffy because they are made of many tiny droplets or ice crystals. A cute cloud drawing is a friendly way to show rainy weather.
