Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Draw the Left Eye

Start with a rounded head outline shaped like a soft shield or teardrop.
Inside the face, add a small curled eye mark on the left side to place the left eye.
Pro Tip: Keep the eye mark small and light so you can adjust it later.
Step 2: Draw the Right Eye

Add a matching curled eye mark on the right side at the same height as the left eye.
Aim both eye marks slightly toward the center so the eagle looks focused.
Pro Tip: Compare the spacing to the face edge so the two eyes feel balanced.
Step 3: Draw the Beak From the Front

In the center, draw a wide inverted triangle shape for the beak, with rounded sides.
Add an inner split line to show the upper and lower beak, and place two small nostrils near the top.
Pro Tip: Keep the beak mostly symmetrical, and round sharp corners slightly.
Step 4: Add the Top and Right Side Head Outline

Draw a long arc from the top of the head down the right side to strengthen the silhouette.
Let the line fall smoothly so the head feels solid around the eyes and beak.
Pro Tip: Try to draw this arc in one confident stroke for a cleaner outline.
Step 5: Complete the Left Side Head Outline

Continue the outline down the left side to close the head shape and balance the silhouette.
Adjust the curve so both sides feel even before adding feathers.
Pro Tip: Step back and compare both sides before you commit to darker lines.
Step 6: Add Cheek and Chin Feather Edges

Add jagged, pointed feather tufts along the lower sides of the head.
Then draw a larger row of feather points across the chin to form a fluffy collar.
Pro Tip: Vary the feather point sizes so the edge looks natural and lively.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Frequently Asked Questions
1) How do I make the eagle look fiercer?
Make the eyes slightly narrower and tilt them inward a bit.
2) What if my beak looks crooked?
Redraw the center split line first, then match the left and right edges to it.
3) How can I improve the feathers?
Use fewer, larger points and vary their sizes instead of repeating the same shape.
