Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Start the Left Ear

Draw a tall ear on the left with a softly rounded tip. Add a smaller matching curve inside, leaving both shapes open below.
Pro Tip: Make the ear taller than it is wide.
Step 2: Draw the Right Ear

Add a second tall ear to the right of the first. Draw its inner curve with a small inward hook near the bottom.
Pro Tip: Leave enough space between the ears for a broad forehead.
Step 3: Shape the Head and Eyes

Draw a curved forehead between the ears and extend the rounded cheek outlines downward. Leave the bottom center of the face open. Add two large rounded eyes with small highlighted pupils inside.
Pro Tip: Place the eyes well apart to leave room for the muzzle.
Step 4: Add the Muzzle and Mouth

Draw an arch between the eyes and place a rounded nose beneath it. Extend two sweeping muzzle curves downward from the nose. Add a short nose wrinkle, a tiny mouth opening, and a curved chin mark.
Pro Tip: Keep the nose near the center of the muzzle arch.
Step 5: Draw the Front Legs and Chest

Extend two short front legs beneath the head into rounded paws. Curve a chest line between them and add the small rear paw underneath. Place short toe marks on each visible paw.
Pro Tip: Keep the front paws broad to support the oversized head.
Step 6: Complete the Back and Tail

Curve the back outward from the right cheek and down into a rear paw. Add a belly curve, a short shoulder crease, and rear toe marks. Draw a small curled tail behind the upper back.
Pro Tip: Keep the curled tail close to the body outline.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
- Tall upright ears help distinguish this French bulldog silhouette.
- The broad muzzle is built from two simple curves meeting under the nose.
- Showing one small paw behind the chest makes the seated pose clearer.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I keep the French bulldog’s ears balanced?
Compare their height and width before drawing the forehead. They can tilt slightly differently while still looking like a pair.
Why is one French bulldog paw so small?
That paw sits behind the front legs in this pose. Only a small part remains visible under the chest.
