Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Start the Rounded Ears

Draw two rounded ear outlines, leaving plenty of space between them. Add a smaller curved line inside each ear.
Pro Tip: Keep both ears at roughly the same height.
Step 2: Shape the Head and Face

Connect the ears with a broad head outline, open underneath. Add round eyes with highlights, an oval muzzle, a nose, and a curved mouth.
Pro Tip: Center the muzzle between the two eyes.
Step 3: Raise the Front Paws

Extend two curved arms outward and upward from below the head. Add three rounded claws, three small toe pads, and a larger pad per paw.
Pro Tip: Leave space beneath the arms for the body.
Step 4: Outline the Belly Patch

Draw a large rounded belly patch beneath the face. Place two short curved fur marks near its upper center.
Pro Tip: Keep the belly patch narrower than the spread arms.
Step 5: Add the Body Sides

Extend long curved sides downward from the lower arms. Add paired short fur marks on both arms and the lower left side.
Pro Tip: Leave both lower body edges open for the legs.
Step 6: Complete the Feet

Curve the lower sides inward to form two wide feet. Add inner leg edges, a curved belly line, claws, and short leg fur marks.
Pro Tip: Make the feet broad enough to support the rounded body.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
- Rounded ears and a broad muzzle help this grizzly bear read clearly as a bear.
- The raised paws display the pads that would usually face the ground.
Pin it now, Draw later!

Your grizzly bear now has a friendly face, raised paws, and sturdy feet. Add brown shades if you like, keeping the muzzle and belly lighter. Try drawing another grizzly bear with a different expression.
