Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Draw the Head and Face

Outline a rounded head with a long back and an open neck. Add oval eyes with highlights, two nostrils, and a curved mouth with one fang.
Pro Tip: Place the facial features toward the left side of the head.
Step 2: Add Two Small Arms

Curve two short arms inward below the head on either side. Add two pointed claws to the end of each rounded hand.
Pro Tip: Keep the arms small compared with the head.
Step 3: Shape the Belly and Back Plates

Extend a broad belly curve downward from beneath the left arm. Continue the back and add four rounded plates along its outer edge.
Pro Tip: Leave the lower right side open for the large hind leg.
Step 4: Draw the Left Foot

Curve a short leg outward from the lower left belly. Add three small claws and join the foot beneath the body.
Pro Tip: Keep the foot low so the monster appears firmly planted.
Step 5: Add the Larger Right Leg

Draw a deep curved thigh inside the lower right body. Shape the outer leg and broad foot, finishing with three rounded claws.
Pro Tip: Align both feet along roughly the same ground level.
Step 6: Curl the Tail Upward

Extend two sweeping tail curves from behind the right leg. Curl the tip upward, adding a long inner line and small plates near the body.
Pro Tip: Make the tail narrow gradually as it approaches the tip.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
- Godzilla’s row of back plates helps make the silhouette recognizable.
- The curled tail balances this Godzilla drawing’s large head.
Pin it now, Draw later!

Your Godzilla now has a friendly face, clawed limbs, and a sweeping tail. This step by step drawing uses large curves before adding small points. Try sketching Godzilla again with extra space for an even longer tail.
