Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Draw the Head and Comb

Draw a wide arch for the chicken’s head and neck. Add a four-bumped comb along the top-left portion of the arch.
Pro Tip: Leave both lower ends open for the body added later.
Step 2: Add the Face

Draw two round highlighted eyes and a small pointed beak between them. Add a pair of hanging oval wattles beneath the beak.
Pro Tip: Center the beak slightly below the line joining both eyes.
Step 3: Create the Feathered Neck

Connect the lower head edges with a row of broad scallops. Begin one curved body line downward from the left side.
Pro Tip: Keep the scallops similar but not perfectly identical.
Step 4: Shape the Body and Tail

Continue the body into a large rounded belly with a small lower bump. Add three long feather shapes forming an upright tail on the right.
Pro Tip: Make the body wider than the head for a plump silhouette.
Step 5: Add the Wing

Draw a large curved wing across the right side of the body. Finish its outer edge with three rounded feather tips and an inner crease.
Pro Tip: Keep the wing entirely inside the body’s outer contour.
Step 6: Draw Legs and Feet

Add two short straight legs beneath the body. Finish each leg with three pointed toes spreading outward from the ankle.
Pro Tip: Place the feet beneath opposite sides of the body for balance.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
