Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Sketch the Goat’s Two Curved Horns

Start near the top of the page with two small, curved bean-like horn shapes, spaced a little apart. Add a few short curved bands inside each horn, following the same curve.
Pro Tip: Keep the horns slightly different so they feel more natural.
Step 2: Add the Head Outline and Little Beard

Under the horns, draw a large rounded outline for the goat’s face and chin, keeping the right side a bit fuller. Add a small zigzag tuft of hair between the horns, then place a tiny pointed beard at the bottom of the chin.
Pro Tip: Keep the face round first, and use short points for a cute cartoon beard.
Step 3: Add Two Big Ears

On each side of the head, sketch a long, soft leaf-shaped ear that stretches gently outward. Add a curved inner line inside each ear to show the ear’s fold and thickness.
Pro Tip: Keep the ear edges smooth and rounded for a cuter cartoon look.
Step 4: Draw the Eyes and a Gentle Smile

Place two big round eyes in the middle of the face, one on each side, and add small highlight circles inside to make them shine. Then add a small curved smile near the lower face, with a short vertical line to split the mouth into two soft curves.
Pro Tip: Keep both eyes at the same height for a cuter, steadier expression.
Step 5: Add the Body and the First Back Leg

From behind the head, extend a long curved line down and left to form the goat’s rounded back and body. Then add the first back leg at the rear underside, finishing with a small hoof and a short curved split at the tip.
Pro Tip: Place the back leg farther back so the body looks well balanced.
Step 6: Add the Other Back Leg and Hoof

Under the body, add another back leg that reaches slightly forward, as if it sits behind the first leg. Finish it with a second small hoof, and add a short line to split the hoof tip.
Pro Tip: Make this back leg slightly shorter to show it is farther away.
Step 7: Add the First Front Leg

Near the front underside of the body, sketch a straight front leg that drops down cleanly. Add a rounded hoof at the bottom and split it with a short curved line.
Pro Tip: Keep the front leg a little wider than the back legs for a steady stance.
Step 8: Add Chest Fur and Finish the Last Front Leg

From under the beard, draw a small zigzag line down to form fluffy chest fur, letting it connect smoothly into the belly. Then complete the outline of the front-right leg, add a rounded hoof, and split the hoof tip with a short curved line.
Pro Tip: Keep the chest zigzags soft and spaced so the fur feels fluffy.
Step 9: Add the Short Tail

On the back-left end of the body, add a small tail shaped like three tiny flame or leaf bumps. Keep the base snug against the body, and let the tip lift slightly for a lively look.
Pro Tip: Keep the tail small so the face stays the main focus.
Step 10: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
- Goats have excellent balance and can climb steep, rocky places with ease.
- A goat’s horns keep growing and can show gentle ridges and bands.
- Baby goats are called kids, and they often hop and play to practice moving.
Pin it now, Draw later!

You now have a complete cartoon goat, built from simple shapes and clean lines. Try coloring the horns a light gray or tan, and shade the belly and legs with a soft second layer to show roundness. A common beginner mistake is making the legs too thin, so keep them slightly wide and even.
Practice drawing this goat again with a different head tilt or longer ears. If you would like, try another easy drawing tutorial and keep building your drawing for beginners skills step by step.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make my cartoon goat look cuter?
Make the eyes a little larger and keep the smile small and gentle. A rounder face also helps the goat feel friendlier.
What if my legs look uneven?
Lightly sketch the leg lengths first, then adjust before outlining. You can also line up the hooves along an invisible ground line.
Can I add spots or extra fur?
Yes, you can add a few small patches on the body or extra zigzag fur on the chest and tail. Keep the shapes simple so the goat stays clear and readable.
