Step-by-Step Drawing Guide
Step 1: Outline the Frog’s Head

Start with a wide, smooth arch near the top of the page for the head.
Add a taller rounded bump on each side for the raised eyes, and keep the bottom open for now.
Pro Tip: Keep the two eye bumps the same size so the face looks balanced.
Step 2: Add the Eyes and a Happy Face

Inside each eye bump, draw a big circle for the eye, then a smaller circle for the pupil, leaving a tiny highlight.
Place two small nostrils in the center, and draw a wide curved smile with slightly lifted corners.
Pro Tip: Point both pupils slightly the same way to keep the expression consistent.
Step 3: Draw the Body Side and One Front Foot

Pull a long, smooth curve down from the left cheek to form the side of the frog’s body.
At the bottom, add a three-lobed paw shape for the front foot, like three rounded toes.
Pro Tip: Keep the body line light so you can adjust the width later.
Step 4: Add the Other Side and the Second Front Foot

Draw a matching downward curve on the right to complete the rounded belly shape.
Add another three-lobed front foot at the bottom, similar in size to the first.
Pro Tip: Keep both front feet on the same level so the frog looks stable.
Step 5: Add the Back Leg and Back Foot

Draw a curved line sweeping back from the right side to form the back and thigh.
Add a larger back foot behind the body, with toes spread outward to show a sitting pose.
Pro Tip: Make the back foot slightly bigger than the front feet for a stronger frog pose.
Step 6: Add the Other Back Leg, Belly Line, and Spots

Behind the left side of the body, draw the second curved back leg and add a spread-toe back foot.
Add a gentle curved belly line between the front feet, then draw a couple of small round spots on the right shoulder.
Pro Tip: Keep both back legs similar in size, and show only a little of the one behind.
Step 7: Color in your drawing!

Fun Facts
- Frogs do not drink water the way people do; they can absorb water through their skin.
- Many frogs have strong back legs for jumping, which is why the back feet look larger.
- Some frogs can change shade slightly to blend into their surroundings.
Pin it now, Draw later!

Trace your favorite lines with a pen, then erase any leftover pencil marks.
If you want color, try a light green body and a pale belly for a classic look.
