How to Draw Love Birds — Let’s get started!
Step 1 – Draw the First Bird’s Body

Start by drawing a small curved shape, like a sideways “S” or a teardrop. This will be the body of the first love bird. Make sure to leave some space next to it for the second bird.
A great tip is to draw lightly with your pencil so you can erase if necessary. The body should be smooth and rounded, making the love bird look soft and fluffy. Love birds have chubby little bodies, so don’t make them too thin!
Step 2 – Draw the Second Bird’s Body

Now, draw another curved shape right next to the first one. It should look like a mirror image of the first bird. These two shapes will form the bodies of your cute bird pair illustration.
Make sure the two birds are slightly tilted towards each other. This will create the illusion that they are looking at one another. Drawing them close together will make the drawing more adorable!
Step 3 – Draw the Legs

Under each bird, draw two tiny lines with little feet at the end. Love birds have small legs, so don’t make them too big! This will help your drawing look cute and realistic.
Each foot should have three small toes pointing forward. These will help balance the birds on a branch or any surface you want to draw later. If you want, you can place them on a branch to make the drawing even more interesting.
Step 4 – Draw the Wings

Inside each bird’s body, draw a small curved shape to create the wings. This makes them look fluffy and full of life!
The wings should be rounded and positioned slightly towards the back. This will give your birds a soft, cuddly look. If you want to add more detail, you can draw small feather lines inside the wings to make them more realistic.
Step 5 – Draw the Eyes

Draw small dots for the eyes and little curved lines to make their beaks look like they are smiling at each other. Love birds are always happy when they are together!
You can also make the eyes slightly bigger if you want your love birds to look more expressive. Adding small eyelashes can make them look even cuter! The key to making the birds look lively is to give them a friendly, cheerful expression.
Step 6 – Draw Their Beaks Touching

To make the love birds look like they are sharing a sweet moment, draw two tiny triangles at the front of their heads, touching each other. This makes it look like they are giving each other a little bird kiss!
Make sure the beaks are pointed slightly upwards so they appear to be nuzzling. This is one of the most important parts of the drawing, as it adds the element of love and connection between the birds.
Step 7 – Add a Cute Heart-Shaped Tail for the First Bird

At the back of the first bird, draw a small heart shape. This makes them even more adorable!
The heart tail adds a unique and creative touch to your drawing. If you want to add extra charm, you can draw small feathers inside the heart to give it more texture. The tail should be well-balanced with the body to make sure it looks natural.
Step 8 – Add a Cute Heart-Shaped Tail for the Second Bird and Draw a Heart Above Them

Now, draw another heart shape at the back of the second bird. Then, add a floating heart above the birds to complete your charming bird Valentine art.
This final detail ties everything together! The heart above them symbolizes their strong bond. If you want to be extra creative, you can add more little hearts floating around to make the scene even cuter.
Step 9 – Color Your Drawing!

It’s time to bring your love birds to life! Use bright colors like yellow, pink, or blue. Love birds come in many different colors, so feel free to get creative!
Some common love bird colors include:
Green and yellow
Blue and white
Pink and orange
Use crayons, colored pencils, or markers to make your drawing stand out. You can also add shading to give the birds more depth. Try blending different colors together to create a unique look!
