How to Draw a St. Patrick’s Day Gift — Let’s get started!

Step 1 – Draw the Gift Box.

Start in the center of your paper and draw a square. Try to keep the sides the same length—this is the base of your gift box.

Tip: Use a ruler for straight lines. But don’t stress—if it’s a little wiggly, it just gives your gift some personality!

Step 2 – Add the Lid.

On top of your square, draw a long, skinny rectangle that’s slightly wider than the box. This is the lid.

Let the ends stick out just a bit—that’s how real gift lids fit snugly over the box.

Style Option: Curve the corners for a softer, cuter look!

Step 3 – Draw the Ribbon on the Front.

Draw two vertical lines from the bottom of the lid to the bottom of the box, spaced close to the center. These form the ribbon going down the front.

Think of it like a ribbon road running down your gift!

Step 4 – Add the Ribbon on the Lid.

Now add two short vertical lines from the top of the lid to its bottom edge. This completes the ribbon across the top of the box.

Creative Option: Later, you can decorate the ribbon with hearts, dots, or stripes!

Step 5 – Draw the First Ribbon Loop.

Time for a bow! Draw a big, curved loop rising from the left side of the lid. It should look like a floppy bunny ear or stretched-out oval.

Step 6 – Add the Second Ribbon Loop.

Now draw a matching loop on the right side. Try to keep it the same shape and size.

If one is a bit bigger—that’s totally okay! It gives your bow some fun flair.

Step 7 – Draw the Bow Knot.

Between the two loops, draw a small oval or circle. This is the knot that holds the bow together.

Creative Tip: You can make the knot a heart or star for extra Valentine’s sparkle!

Step 8 – Decorate with Hearts.
