How to Draw a Valentine Rose — Let’s get started!
Step 1 – Draw the Flower Pot.

Start with a strong base—your rose needs a home!
Draw a trapezoid shape with a flat bottom and slightly slanted sides. It should be wider at the top than at the base.
✅ This is the bottom of your flower pot.
Step 2 – Add the Pot’s Rim.

Just above your trapezoid, draw a thin horizontal rectangle—a little wider than the top of the pot.
This is the rim, and it makes your pot look 3D!
✨ You can round the corners for a softer, cuter style.
Step 3 – Draw the Stem.

From the middle of the pot’s rim, draw two long, close vertical lines going upward.
That’s your rose stem! Make it tall and straight—it’s what holds the rose up high.
Step 4 – Add the First Leaf.

On the left side of the stem, draw a curved teardrop shape—this is your first leaf!
Tip: It should look like a stretched almond or sideways flame.
Step 5 – Draw the Second Leaf.

Add another leaf on the right side of the stem, similar in shape and size.
Your rose now has two balanced leaves—like it’s reaching out to hug the sunshine! 🌞
Step 6 – Start the Petals.

At the very top of the stem, draw a single petal that looks like a small flame or teardrop pointing up.
Add a small swirl or line inside the petal to show a fold.
🌹 This is the start of your rosebud!
Step 7 – Add More Petals.

Now draw two big curved petals—one on each side of the first petal.
They should open up like a flower giving a hug.
Then, draw one more small pointed petal on top. Now it looks like your rose is opening up!
Step 8 – Finish the Bloom.

To make your rose look full, add one more top petal with a gentle point—like a flame.
🎉 Ta-da! Your rose is in full bloom, standing tall and elegant!
Step 9 – Color Your Drawing!

Now it’s time to make your drawing pop with bright Valentine colors!
Try these combos:
- Petals: Red, pink, or even purple
- Stem & Leaves: Any shade of green
- Pot: Brown, orange, or decorate it with hearts, polka dots, or stars!
Add white highlights or use glitter pens for sparkle—or draw a Valentine cupcake alongside your rose for a fun, festive combo!
Bonus: Write a message like “Be Mine” or “You’re Blooming Awesome” on the pot!
Pin it now, Draw later!
