Hello and welcome! You’ve found a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw Peppa Pig!
Maybe you’re a fan of her, or maybe this is the first time you’re hearing of her—either way, she is a lovable little pig! She has been a popular television character since 2004, since the beginning of the cartoon show. She is a sweet, fun-loving, and happy little pink pig.
She’s always hanging out with friends and having a good time! We hope you have a good time doing this tutorial, too!
Get some drawing supplies and let’s get started!
How to Draw a Peppa Pig — Let’s get started!
Materials:
- a piece of paper
- a pencil for the guiding lines and sketching
- an eraser
- a black sharpie or a pen for the outlines
- markers or colored pencils for coloring

Time needed:
15 minutes.
Step 1 – Draw her snout.
Oink oink! Peppa Pig needs to have a snout, because she’s a pig! On the top left of the page, draw a small oval. Add two dots next to each other inside it.
Step 2 – Add the rest of her head.
We’re going to form the main shape of her head! From the bottom of the snout, draw a short line going to the right. Then, draw a large curved line, and connect it to the top of the snout.
It should be a few inches wide, so we have space for the next step!
Step 3 – Add her face.
Pippa Pig is often smiling while she’s hanging out with her friends. Let’s draw her face now! Start with the smile—draw a curved line for her mouth.
Draw two small circles for her eyes. Then, add two dots inside them on the left for the pupils, so she looks like she’s looking to the left.
Next, draw an oval in between her smile and her eyes on the right side. This is her cheek.
Lastly, add her ears! On the top of her head, draw two semi-circles for her ears. You’ve completed her face now!
Step 4 – Draw her body.
Below her head, draw a round shape to form her body. Connect it to her head. Leave enough room below for the rest of the drawing!
Step 5 – Add her arms and legs.
Peppa Pig goes biking, swimming, playing on the playground, and so much more! Let’s add her arms and legs.
Draw two short lines on the bottom of her body for the legs.
On the right side of her body, add an arm by drawing a short diagonal line going upwards. Draw three short lines at the end for fingers.
Do the same on the left side! Refer to the photo.
Step 6 – Start drawing her shoes.
Peppa Pig is going to be wearing rain boots in our drawing! Let’s add them now.
Draw two short horizontal lines below each leg. This is the top edge of the boots. Then, draw vertical lines on the right of each one. Lastly, on the left, draw a very small vertical line. Look at the photo for this step!
Step 7 – Finish drawing the boots.
Connect the two lines from the last step with curved lines. This is the toe of her boots!
Step 8 – Draw a puddle.
Peppa Pig is wearing rain boots because she is standing in a rain puddle! Draw a squiggly line around her feet, forming an imperfect oval. The back of the puddle should be cut off by her legs. This shoes perspective.
Add two smaller puddles to the right!
Step 9 – Add the background!
Peppa Pig is outside—let’s add more detail to the setting!
Draw a large curved line behind her about two-thirds of the way up the page. It should look like a hill, so it should extend to the edges of the paper.
Next, add two clouds! Draw a bunch of semi-circles to form the shape of the fluffy clouds. One will be on the right side, slightly cut off by the edge of the paper. The other will go on the left. Make it a little bit smaller to show variety!
Step 10 – Color in your Peppa Pig!
Last step—we’ve got to add some color to this! Peppa Pig is a pink pig, so go ahead and find a pink utensil to color her in. Have fun with it!
